Learn to Skate at the Main Rink
This camp teaches the fundamentals of skating in a positive and encouraging environment. The skills learned throughout the camp will provide skaters with the basic skills and techniques to continue into Hockey, Ringette, or Skating for Recreation. For ages 3 and older, (we do accept 2 year olds as long as they can follow instructions).

CSA approved Helmets (a cage is highly recommended), Skates & Warm Knitted Gloves are required. Skate and helmet rentals are available for $3.00 each at the Main Rink.

Teen Learn to Skate
At the Academy Rink
This Learn to Skate class will be for teens ages 11-16. This will be a very welcoming class for all teens that want to learn how to skate or improve their skating skills.

Advanced Skating for Hockey
This advanced skating camp is for skater that are 5-8 years and confident in our Learn to Skate Level 3/4 classes (or a similar program) that would like to advance their skating skills for hockey. Skaters will learn how to stride, transition from forward to backward and a lot of crossovers, inside and outside edges on one foot, tight turns, and drill work with pucks and sticks. Skaters may have full hockey gear and sticks, but really this class is all about SKATING and executing EDGES; whereby they start to gain confidence with speed while utilizing a stick and puck. For ages 5-8.

Full hockey gear is highly recommended to get used to skating in gear. CSA approved helmets with a cage, skates, & gloves are required.

Tot Hockey
Tot Hockey is meant as a fun, small-group intro to hockey for ages 3 to 5. Get comfortable and confident in full hockey gear and with a stick in hand! Improve existing skating skills and learn the basics of hockey. *Participants should be able to comfortably skate the length of the ice and stop. For ages 3-5.

Introduction to Hockey
The Intro to Hockey camp is for players that have passed at least Level 3 in our Learn to Skate program or can skate comfortably the full length of the ice and stop. This program is for kids brand new to hockey and is designed to teach a combination of skating, puck control, and teamwork as an introduction to hockey. For ages 4 and older.

Hockey Development
Improve your puck handling, passing, shooting, and overall hockey skills! This camp is perfect for players ages 5-9 who want to succeed in minor hockey and prepare for more advanced classes. Participants should have completed our Intro to Hockey class or a similar program. For ages 5-9.

Adult Hockey Development

This class will be geared for those adults 18+ wanting to get back to playing hockey after some time off or after an injury. It will also be for those who have never played and want to start playing in an Adult league. The focus will be on puck control, shooting, acceleration, and overall hockey skill development.

1 hour Ice + 1 hour of Dryland – The Rep Prep Camp will help prepare players for tryouts and the upcoming season and will encompass all aspects of the game. This camp is intended for rep caliber players and sessions will be high intensity. The dryland portion will focus on speed, agility, strength, and balance.

Body Checking & Contact Camp
with Andrew Sharp
At the Main Rink
Body Checking & Contact Camp is the best choice for players to learn the ability to play physically, using contact to gain an advantage while also learning to stay safe.
In the course of the 5 day camp, players will learn all of the proper techniques of receiving and delivering bodychecks, using your body to gain a competitive edge, and tactics for forwards and defensemen.

*Skaters must be at least a Level 4 in our Learn to Skate classes or equivalent and should know how to skate backwards with speed and control.

Shoot to Score

Shoot with Confidence! This class is designed to convert shots on net to goals. The focus will be on shooting mechanics to generate power on your shot, shooting from different angles, creating shooting lanes, reading goalie movements and habits, and more.

The Defence Camp is all about the technical aspect of being a defensive player including standing, moving, and accelerating tactics. Players that already play D and players that are interested in learning are both welcome.
The July 22-26 camp will also include one hour of dryland with a focus on speed, agility, strength, and balance.

Triple Threat – Ice, Synthetic, & Dryland

Each day will consist of on-ice training, synthetic ice shooting and stickhandling, and dryland strength and conditioning. There will be 15 minutes in between each rotation to give players time to get ready for their next working session.

Bring full hockey gear, runners, shorts, and a t-shirt for the dryland session. Please bring a snack as well.
