‘Learn to Skate’ Program in Langley – Safe Socialization Opportunity for Your Kids this Fall!

The countdown to fall has begun, and with it – a fresh opportunities to learn and grow and socialize in new ways. Which is something NHTC is proud to provide on all three-levels through our ‘Learn to Skate’ programs in Langley.

Whether choosing our Preschool Program for your wee one, or our more advanced Skating Program that will help your child transition into Hockey or Ringette, or simply want to introduce your kids to either program in order to enjoy a unique recreation opportunity – we offer all of the above, along with super coaches teaching our programs!

Learn to Skate – Super Coaches

It’s one thing to learn a new technical life skill that offers fun and exercise, but it’s another to do so under the guidance of two super coaches – Marci Munro and Courtenay Falk.

Marcie Munro

Marcie has a niche’ for helping make her student’s skating experience fun and memorable. She believes in coaching the skills and fundamentals of skating, which are so critical in today’s ‘skating world’. Marcie has worked with learn to skate, hockey, and ringette organizations in the lower mainland and believes in the importance for players to recognize the art of edges; thus, coaching proper skating techniques to increase the players efficiency and effectiveness benefitting from the Edge, Power & Stride, as a result.

Courtenay Falk

Courtenay has been figure skating her entire life. Falling in love with the sport at age 7, she went on to compete both provincially and nationally in competitive singles skating and synchronized skating. She also completed a Gold Level standing in all 5 Skate Canada disciplines. Currently she holds a Professional Figure Skating Coach status with Skate Canada and a valid first aid certificate, specializing in proper skating technique and foundations, emphasizing on advanced edge, power and stride.

Clearly a dynamic duo who’s credentials speak for themselves, while also offering kids a fun-filled experience!

Skill-Based Social Outlets Where Kids Can Learn AND Play

Perhaps you’re a home schooling family seeking creative ways to build life skills, while also participating in healthy activities that allow for social interactions. Or perhaps you simply are seeking a positive environment for your kid’s to learn and play – our learn to skate programs are very much ideal for such things.

PRESCHOOL LEARN TO SKATE – is a mid-week Preschool program teaches the fundamentals of skating in a positive and encouraging environment. Parents may join their beginners on the ice, until independence is obtained.

Limited class sizes due to Covid-19. For ages 2-5 with new 30 Minute Classes / 7 Week Sessions – $149.00

LEARN TO SKATE – is a program that teaches the fundamentals of skating in a positive and encouraging environment.  The skills learned throughout the program will provide skaters with the basic skills and techniques to continue into Hockey, Ringette, or Skating for Recreation.

Limited class sizes due to Covid-19. For ages 3 and older with new 30 Minute Classes / 7 Week Sessions – $149.00
