Zak Babin

Zak found his passion for health and fitness through his experience playing hockey. Being involved in the sport at elite levels as a player and coach for over a decade, he brings a performance mindset to his training methodologies. Zak started his hockey career in the Cloverdale Minor Hockey Association before transitioning to Junior hockey. Zak finished his Junior hockey career with the Fort St. John Huskies of the NWJHL, where he won a league championship. After finishing Junior hockey, Zak secured an athletic scholarship to play University hockey for the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings of the ACAC. Alongside an extensive ice hockey career, Zak is also heavily involved in Inline Hockey, where he has played in numerous high-end tournaments and was fortunate enough to play for Team Canada inline, winning multiple championships on a national stage.

Having finished his Bachelor’s degree with a kinesiology focus, Zak combines the knowledge he has gained from his studies with a performance mindset to offer a holistic approach to training. He considers himself a lifelong learner, continually expanding his knowledge base to effectively apply current scientific research in his training methodology. Having coached athletes from multiple sports and individuals with health-related goals, he has a broad base of knowledge and experience to help clients find success. Zak is currently a BCRPA certified personal trainer ready to help you reach your goals!
